The Assistant (Educator) is accountable for assisting the Director and ECT (Early Childhood Teacher)
in the day to day running of the kindergarten and for assisting in the implementing of a safe, caring,
healthy, stimulating learning environment in order that the physical, emotional, social and
intellectual needs of the children and their parents are adequately met.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To assist the ECT in the preparation of programs.
• Participate in the planning and preparation of programmes.
• Interact positively and appropriately with children.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic environment for the children.
• Assist the ECT in maintaining accurate records of children’s behaviour and report concerns.
• Provide exceptional customer service to parents when required.

Requirements

• Certificate 3 or equivalent qualification
• Must have First Aid Certificate
• Must have Blue Card or Working with Children Card.
