About the business and the role
BKC is a beautiful, boutique childcare service offering exceptional care across 3 rooms from babies to preschool.
A position has become available for an assistant educator who has a passion for making a difference. This position may be certificate III or Diploma or even for an apprenticeship! Casual and Part Time positions available.
Job tasks and responsibilities
This role is crucial to the development of children, we have the super powers to make a difference to the lives of children. Our role is to inspire, enrich and build confidence in little ones! We are seeking lead educators with experience and a passion for making a difference to the lives of children and their families. Key tasks include:
- Inspiring other educators
- Ensuring families, children and other educators have a sense of belonging
- Participate in delivering learning programs based on your knowledge of each child, their interests and goals using the Early Years Learning Framework
- Nurture and provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children
- Maintain a range of records as required under the National Quality Framework
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness
- Working in a team environment
Skills and experience
- Willingness to participate in the planning cycle to support children to achieve outcomes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Outstanding phone manner and customer service
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude and willing to have fun!
- Professional presentation
- Highly organised
- Must be able to maintain a Working with Children Check
- Have completed or be studying a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Education and Care or be willing and able to undertake an apprenticeship.
