Artists in Residence Program

The Artists in Residence program provides arts and education funding to kindergartens and schools seeking to increase their engagement with arts and culture through partnerships with artists, arts organisations or arts facilities.

2018 SunSmart Shade Initiative

Eligible to:     Not-for-Profits

Funding:       up to $5000

Round:          Closes 1 November 2018

Cancer Council Queensland and the Queensland Department of Health are excited to support the 2018 SunSmart Shade Creation Initiative. The Initiative provides 50 per cent matched funding up to $2000 for portable shade and up to $5000 for permanent shade for not-for-profit organisations that cater to children 0-18 years. All eligible not-for-profit organisations, for example schools, sporting clubs, childcare centres and community groups, are encouraged to apply.

People's Choice Award Grants

Eligible to:  Businesses | Individuals

Funding:       $2,000 - $20,000

Round:          Closes 31 October 2018

We are committed to improving work health and safety (WHS) and workers' compensation arrangements across Australia and providing support through the Program to projects or initiatives of individuals, businesses, government and non-government organisations that align with this commitment.

The aims of this Program are to:

  • increase community awareness and knowledge of WHS and workers' compensation
  • build our profile as the national policy body for WHS and workers' compensation
  • build relationships with key influencers and national bodies, and
  • support priority areas including industries, action areas and conditions in the Australian WHS Strategy 2012-2022.

Shortlisted applicants will be offered a grant agreement valued between $2,000 and $20,000 for their project or initiative. Shortlisted applicants' submissions will be posted on the Safe Work Australia Engage portal and be subject to a public vote. Subject to the People's Choice Award Grant Guidelines, the finalist with the most public votes will win the People's Choice Award and may receive additional funding of up to $5,000.
