The Happy Valley State School P & C work in a productive partnership with our school principal and the
community to promote the interests of the school. HVSS has approx. 400 students with the P & C supporting the learning and growth of all.

We are currently looking for a highly engaged and organised leader to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all business operations (Outside School Hours Care/Tuckshop/Uniform) within our P & C.

This position is partly based from home, and partly from the Happy Valley State School.
up to 15 hours per week with the likelihood of hours increasing over time.

$35.99 – $38.86 (CASUAL) + Allowances & Super (remuneration based on qualifications and experience)

Duties and Responsibilities

• To manage all business activities of the P&C Association namely the Outside School Hours Care,
Tuckshop, Uniform Shop and be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the
businesses placed under your control.
• To assist in the overall administration requirements of the P&C and its sub committees and the
operation of P&C funds in accordance with the guidelines of the Accounting for Parents and
Citizens’ Association Manual. Compliance to this manual is a mandatory requirement of Education
Queensland, consistent with the requirements of Legislation under the Education (General
Provisions) Act 1989.
• To assist in the business development for the P&C Association by exploring avenues to increase
P&C revenue, making recommendations to the P&C association
To be successful in this role you will need:
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Good computer skills (experience in Microsoft & XERO an advantage)
• Supervisory and problem solving skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Leadership ability
• Blue Card or Working with Children Card (or willing to obtain).
