Monto Kindergarten is seeking a permanent part-time Director/Teacher to commence in January 2023.
Our Director/Teacher is now retiring after an amazing 40-year career with the centre and is willing to help transition someone new into the role.
The Monto Kindergarten is a small, rural, single-unit centre affiliated with C&K. We are well established, having provided quality early education and care to the Monto community for over 60 years. Financially, we are in a positive position, with great facilities, offering indoor and outdoor space for children to learn and play.
Current operating hours are;
> Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30am-1:30pm (15hrs per week)
> An extra paid 6.5 hours per week of non-contact time is included in the salary package.
Responsibilities include;
– Manage the day-to-day operations in line with C&K policies and procedures, including administrative and financial systems
– Plan and implement an educational program for pre-prep aged children and take on the duties of Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader.
– Have an understanding of the ELYF, NQF including NQ standards, National A&R system and Child protection legislation.
– Ability to implement EYLF & QKLG, and prepare documentation in support.
– Knowledge of relevant legislative documents applicable to the Early Childhood sector.
Qualifications should include;
– Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent (recognized by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification) and registration with the Qld College of Teachers.
– Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training.
– A Blue Card or exemption Blue Card
