About Yeronga Hyde Road Kindergarten (YHRK)

We are a beautiful, traditional double-unit community kindergarten that is affiliated with Lady Gowrie and situated alongside Hyde Road Park in the leafy inner-city suburb of Yeronga. Our before and after kindergarten hours ‘Kindy Club’ program sets us apart and allows us to offer extended care for up to 22 children attending our kindergarten program to assist families in our local area. We have an experienced team of passionate early childhood education and care professionals and we are looking for another enthusiastic and committed team member to join us.

About the Kindy Club Coordinator Role

  • The Kindy Club Coordinator will report to the Nominated Supervisor of YRHK who reports to the Management Committee.
  • You will work closely with another experienced Educator, supporting the children’s transition from their kindy day to Kindy Club (and vice versa) and leading fun sessions together.

  • Again, this is a permanent, part-time continuing position at YHRK, meaning you are PAID your regular working hours during our closure periods (annual leave included). We are closed during school holidays in line with Education Queensland.
  • Our current Kindy Club hours are from 7:15am to 8:30am and 2:35pm to 5:30am weekdays, Mondays to Fridays during the kindergarten term.
  • In addition to your regular working hours above, you may be offered additional hours from time to time (ie relief work when other team members are on leave).
  • Professional development and on the job training is provided.
  • While one Coordinator is preferred for continuity, it is possible that the role could be shared between multiple applicants. Please share your availability in your application letter.
