We are currently seeking an energetic and qualified Teacher to join our community. This is a Part Time Permanent position commencing in Term 1, 2020 and will see you work a 5-day fortnight. To succeed in the role, you will require a Team-Player mentality with experience as a nominated supervisor and working with children who have additional needs.
The suitable applicant will be responsible for:
- Ensuring quality service delivery which provides young children with a secure and nurturing environment, and which also services to meet the needs of the community
- Encouraging parent participation in the children’s program and ensuring all families are treated with respect
- Providing direction and regular consultation with all members of the learning environment
- Building strong and positive partnerships with children and their families
- Sharing professional knowledge and experience with team members while respecting and acknowledging that of others
- Actively planning for and maintaining high standards of administration and programs relating to children and families within the service
- Ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment for children, families and staff
Suitable applicants must have:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
- Current paid or exemption blue card
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
- Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards, and the Early Years Learning Framework
Ideal applicants will have:
- Previous experience in a teaching role in an early childhood environment, preferably within a kindergarten
- Previous experience working with a management committee
- Previous experience as nominated supervisor, educational leader, workplace health and safety representative
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs
