We are currently seeking an energetic and qualified Teacher to join our community. This is a Part Time Permanent position commencing in Term 1, 2020 and will see you work a 5-day fortnight. To succeed in the role, you will require a Team-Player mentality with experience as a nominated supervisor and working with children who have additional needs.

The suitable applicant will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring quality service delivery which provides young children with a secure and nurturing environment, and which also services to meet the needs of the community
  • Encouraging parent participation in the children’s program and ensuring all families are treated with respect
  • Providing direction and regular consultation with all members of the learning environment
  • Building strong and positive partnerships with children and their families
  • Sharing professional knowledge and experience with team members while respecting and acknowledging that of others
  • Actively planning for and maintaining high standards of administration and programs relating to children and families within the service
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment for children, families and staff

Suitable applicants must  have:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current paid or exemption blue card
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards, and the Early Years Learning Framework

Ideal applicants will have:

  • Previous experience in a teaching role in an early childhood environment, preferably within a kindergarten
  • Previous experience working with a management committee
  • Previous experience as nominated supervisor, educational leader, workplace health and safety representative
  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs
